‘There are no rivers to dump bodies’: in Mumbai Covid Deaths, ‘Up Curps in Ganga Shore’ Jibe
Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, on Thursday, said financial capital has no rivers to download the corpses. The statement can be seen as a Jibe at the Uttar Pradesh ruled by BJP, where hundreds of corpses were recently found in the River Ganga or buried in the sand of their banks.
“We have never decorted Covid deaths, we will never do it in Mumbai, we do not have rivers to download the corpses, we respect families and give it properly the death certificates,” said the mayor.
The horror in Uttar Pradesh came to light on May 10 when 71 corpses were washed on the riverbank in the village of Chause of Bihar, near the state border. Those who live near where the fear bodies were washed, they are victims of Covid-19.
Speaking in the collapse of the building in Malad, he said: “The audit occurs in each neighborhood and send warnings. People still prefer to live inside and die instead of moving to a safer place.”
At least eight children and three adults died and injured another seven years after a single-level house collapsed in another structure in Mumbai Malwani area on Wednesday night.
